A Welcoming New Build
This new build for a family of 5 focused on creating gathering spaces. Whether family or friends, the clients wanted to be THE house for hosting events. With a large eat-at island, dining room for 16, and a family room which opens out to a backyard entertainment space via 14 ft sliding door, this house is set for any hosting need. A spacious upstairs provides plenty of private space as well.

Kitchen Flip
With a spacious sunroom at the back of their house, these clients asked to swap their living room and kitchen so all the living spaces were connected, and they could see their kids playing in the front yard while they prepared dinner. We moved the appliances and pantry to one wall to accommodate a large bank of windows, then created a large island focal point, for prep and serving. The kids can also sit and work here after school. In a small space, storage is at a premium, so we added toe kick drawers and double-sided storage in the island. The final product was a bright and highly functional kitchen on which the clients have continued to receive compliments and have reportedly yet to fill every cabinet!

Touch of Tropic Master Bath
Why wait for a tropical retreat, when you can bring it home? That was this client's reasoning as we designed their master bath. Using large, patterned tiles, warm wood tones, and deep emerald accents, this bath became a unique and welcoming retreat in the middle of the bustling city.

A Kitchen for Entertaining
Clients that love to cook and host combined with a tiny kitchen was not a winning combination. To maximize space, we proposed combining the dining room and kitchen into one open space. The extra-long island allows for plenty of cooking space and storage for spices and appliances, while also providing seating and serving space. The everyday round table expands to seat 12 for special occasions and the two swivel gliders are the clients' favorite spot for morning coffee. The clients requested that their finished space have some warmth but be neutral enough to stay classic and elegant as trends come and go. To achieve this, we combined a warm cream with a rich brown stain for the cabinets and added textured tile and light fixtures.
This client also has an extensive drinks collection that they wanted to highlight in their family room bar area. We designed U-shaped, lighted shelves to maximize space and illuminate the bottles. A mirrored backsplash also works to reflect light and gives the illusion of a larger space. Cabinets with rollouts for bottle and glass storage rounded out the custom bar area.

Upgrade That 90's Kitchen
These clients asked for an open kitchen within the existing footprint. By moving appliance locations and adjusting doorways we were able to get an eat-at island, large pantry, and a second oven - much to the client’s delight. A lovely, stained maple cabinet gave a nod to the prairie style the client liked, while the white quartz counters and new pendant lights helped to brighten up the otherwise dark space.
